USS Eisenhower deploys
The aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) passes Fort Monroe National Monument as the ship departs Naval Station Norfolk. Eisenhower is deploying as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. Navy's 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
